Bruce Gray is one of those contemporary artists that get to see their work on TV. Originary from Los Angeles, Gray is well known for his kinetic art, funky furniture and super-sized objects like giant cheese wedges, insects, cats and high heel shoes made from aluminium and steel. His signature is seen in over 1000 private and corporate art collections across the world and in hundred of movies, TV shows, commercials, music video and celeb events.
However, Gray’s success didn’t come over night. When he decided to apply to the University of Massachusetts his portfolio was first rejected, but not long after this incident, Bruce was permitted to attend the University. He majored in Design and got a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Design. Athough he’s no longer a nobody, Bruce Gray admits is really hard to get your work exhibited at an art gallery: „There really is no way to get into museums and important art collections without a serious track record of art gallery exhibits under your belt”. But the main idea is „to do what you feel passion for. Cause the key is passion. It shows in your work”.
