2007 finds Jeffrey Michael Gordon in his 15th season in the sports elite series. American race car driver born in Vallejo, California, was five when he began running laps at a makeshift racetrack that he and his stepfather, John Bickford, converted from a fairground in his hometown.
At just six years of age, Jeff won 35 main events and set five track records. Nowadays, Gordon, aged 36, is best known to his public as a series champion, four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, and three-time Daytona 500 winner.
